A BOY, BASEBALL,
FAITH, YOU AND ME!
A young boy goes into Cooperstown, N.Y., Baseball's Hall of Fame. His cap is set to one side, scruffy jeans, and scrubby tennis shoes. He looks every bit the boy that you would expect with bubble gum in one side of his mouth, ball glove draped across his belt. Can't you just see the imagine of this little boy in your mind. He's is quite a boy! He walks up and down, admiring his heroes in the Baseball Hall of Fame. You just know he is thinking; could I hit home runs? Could I throw a ball 90 mph? Could I make great plays like these players? I am sure in his mind it is quite overwhelming to ever to be able to copy such greats in baseball. Now----go with me from the Baseball Hall of Fame to the Bible's Hall of Faith. Hebrews Chapter 11, I am sure as you and I see the great heroes of that passage we could tend to be overwhelmed. However, I have good news for you.
God never calls us
to do anything that He doesn't equip us to do!
Without Faith it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to Him, must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Heb. 11:6
So remember, God uses the simple to confound the wise; He uses the weak to defeat the mighty. And as the songwriter said, Little is much, when God is in it! Don't be overwhelmed:
Continue to Seek Him
Faithfully serve Him
He will lovingly reward you!
Always remember,
you and God make a majority!
